Saturday 21st July Card Draw 11.30am. Appreciate please if we can have the cards in by 11.20am. The Match Committee start getting the groups sorted for the 11.30 Tee Off, and when we think we are all sorted, down the drive comes another car or two after 11.30, wanting to be included. The Match Committee have decided late entries will be off the 5th Tee last, as many members dislike playing in a fives.


Saturday 28th July. Club Champs Round 1 Matchplay. My thanks to Steven Paewai for his assistance sorting the groups and arranging the draws for this years Championships. As I don't have scanning facilities on my home computer, I intend sending them through tomorrow from work. Hopefully my computer skills will allow this. There will be five sheets for the various grades. Note, a tee draw will not be included, (time restraint) but I will send a a What's On Special, Tee draw early next week.


Disappointed last week to hear that the world had stopped going around because the previous Saturdays cards had not been entered into the handicap system. Every member of our Committees are full paying volunteers, and ocasionally things don't happen over night. Thats life. We have checked and no one will be playing in a different grade in the Champs because of this..

👉Saturday 26th July; Matches please. Competitions still running are Wiffin Cup, Sattrup & Brannigan and Presidents Cup. Card draw 11.30am Duty Zane, house Majken 👉 Saturday 2nd August. SHB 27 Hole Strokeplay Tournament. Entries close Wednesday 30th July, for the draw publication on Thursday 31st July.. No post entries (No entries on the day) We currently have about 70 entries. Reminder; Members are asked to bring a plate for a shared meal after our 27 hole tournament. 👉 Saturday 9th August; Lui Paewai Trophy. Best stableford by a club member on the day. The Lui Paewai is a sort after Trophy. The forecast looks good for the weekend. If we have heavy frosts, please delay your start time so as not to burn the fairways and greens. Evening all, Saturday 19th July; Presidents Cup Round 1 Matchplay . Duty Match Committee Chalky, House Johnny Sunday 20th July, HGC event. A travel group from Hawkes Bay who visit a course once a month. Approximately 50 - 55 golfers, staring at 9am on Tees 1, 5, 10 and 16. Still plenty of room for locals. Please be aware that players are coming from four directions, so don't just jump on a tee, make sure you they are at least half a fairway away before starting in front of them. Captain Zane is looking for anyone who can help prepare 50 burgers for our visitors around 1pm. Please count your on the green putts, the player with the least putts wins the Tom Irwin Putter competition. Duty, Math committee Peter Gregory, House committee ? Sunday 20th July; The HGC Tour group will be playing Dannevirke at 9am. Between 50 and 55 players using a 4 tee start.
