| Pleased to see the course has come through the wet winter very well, and currently has a good sole of grass, which will no doubt take a bit of controlling over the next month or so. Brian & Kieran have sprayed the fairways, so you will se signs of weeds turning their leafs up shortly.

Richie is also keen to hear from any member intending to go to Waipawa next week, not all players like a caddie, but he will match you with a willing player. I have received the draw today, so will take it to work tomorrow, scan it and send through to the team members.
Management Committee:
Fixing the unseen. For those unaware, the flat roof on the upstairs part of the Club house is in urgent need of repair. Inspection last year found a refit was required. we have been successful in receiving funding from Pub Charity for close to $18,000 to repair this. Thanks to our funding committee for keeping these applications going in. Greatbatch Builders will be on the job in the near future

The Lui Paewai is a sort after Trophy. The forecast looks good for the weekend. If we have heavy frosts, please delay your start time so as not to burn the fairways and greens. Evening all, Saturday 19th July; Presidents Cup Round 1 Matchplay . Duty Match Committee Chalky, House Johnny Sunday 20th July, HGC event. A travel group from Hawkes Bay who visit a course once a month. Approximately 50 - 55 golfers, staring at 9am on Tees 1, 5, 10 and 16. Still plenty of room for locals. Please be aware that players are coming from four directions, so don't just jump on a tee, make sure you they are at least half a fairway away before starting in front of them. Captain Zane is looking for anyone who can help prepare 50 burgers for our visitors around 1pm.
