Saturday 4th August SHB 27 Hole Strokeplay Championship . An SOS for some helpers please. We have decided for lunch to take on the Cape Turnagain idea of cooking meat patties, then allowing players to make a burger, with coleslaw, salad, tomato, beetroot onions etc. I'm asking are there any ladies or men out there not playing in the Tournament who can help put this lunch together. We require a supervisor, and helpers. Maybe a man not playing could do the BBQ. Any donations of bottled beetroot or home made tomato sauce would be appreciated Please reply via email, or give me a call evening on 06 374 7201. I'm sure with the spirit we have in this Club, we can acheive this. We have a second group coming in to do the evening meal, being Lulu, Aggi and helpers. 👉Saturday 26th July; Matches please. Competitions still running are Wiffin Cup, Sattrup & Brannigan and Presidents Cup. Card draw 11.30am Duty Zane, house Majken 👉 Saturday 2nd August. SHB 27 Hole Strokeplay Tournament. Entries close Wednesday 30th July, for the draw publication on Thursday 31st July.. No post entries (No entries on the day) We currently have about 70 entries. Reminder; Members are asked to bring a plate for a shared meal after our 27 hole tournament. 👉 Saturday 9th August; Lui Paewai Trophy. Best stableford by a club member on the day. The Lui Paewai is a sort after Trophy. The forecast looks good for the weekend. If we have heavy frosts, please delay your start time so as not to burn the fairways and greens. Evening all, Saturday 19th July; Presidents Cup Round 1 Matchplay . Duty Match Committee Chalky, House Johnny Sunday 20th July, HGC event. A travel group from Hawkes Bay who visit a course once a month. Approximately 50 - 55 golfers, staring at 9am on Tees 1, 5, 10 and 16. Still plenty of room for locals. Please be aware that players are coming from four directions, so don't just jump on a tee, make sure you they are at least half a fairway away before starting in front of them. Captain Zane is looking for anyone who can help prepare 50 burgers for our visitors around 1pm. Evening all, Saturday 12th July; Presidents Cup Qualifying, Top 32 nett scores go through to seeded matchplay competition. Tom Irwin Putter. Please count your on the green putts, the player with the least putts wins the Tom Irwin Putter competition. Duty, Math committee Peter Gregory, House committee ? Sunday 20th July; The HGC Tour group will be playing Dannevirke at 9am. Between 50 and 55 players using a 4 tee start. Still room for our members, but please be aware of the players on the 9th and 18th fairways, as they may be carrying on, so don't assume they are stopping, and jumping in front of them.
