Saturday 22nd February; Marae Tournament, 11am tee off. Please bring cash for raffles etc.
Thursday 27th February - Saturday 1st March; Barry Illsley sponsored 72 hole match play tournament; A smaller field than hoped, so a reduced format 54 holes. But we aren't giving up. Next year will be bigger and better.
Pennants; A good start for Championship 1, Handicap 2 and Handicap 4 all having wins last Sunday. Well done teams.
Congratulations Rod Henricksen for shooting below his age on Tuesday 12th. I believe 75 on his 76th birthday. We all now how this sport goes, won the Kit Kat on Thursday 14th. Great effort Rodney
Looking forward to our annual Marae tournament on Saturday. Our Course is becoming hard and fast, so trying for some of our golfers. Thanks to Stephen & Moira Paewai for all they do for the local Marae fundraiser each year. Stephens prize givings are legendary.

SHB 27 Hole Strokeplay Tournament. Entries close Wednesday 30th July, for the draw publication on Thursday 31st July.. No post entries (No entries on the day) We currently have about 70 entries. Reminder; Members are asked to bring a plate for a shared meal after our 27 hole tournament. 👉 Saturday 9th August; Lui Paewai Trophy. Best stableford by a club member on the day. The Lui Paewai is a sort after Trophy. The forecast looks good for the weekend. If we have heavy frosts, please delay your start time so as not to burn the fairways and greens. Evening all, Saturday 19th July; Presidents Cup Round 1 Matchplay . Duty Match Committee Chalky, House Johnny Sunday 20th July, HGC event. A travel group from Hawkes Bay who visit a course once a month. Approximately 50 - 55 golfers, staring at 9am on Tees 1, 5, 10 and 16. Still plenty of room for locals. Please be aware that players are coming from four directions, so don't just jump on a tee, make sure you they are at least half a fairway away before starting in front of them. Captain Zane is looking for anyone who can help prepare 50 burgers for our visitors around 1pm.
