Carts: Sorry folk, with the very wet conditions, there are to be NO CARTS used on the course all weekend.


Friday June 28th; Matariki Day, Friday competition will be running, early start permitted, otherwise 12 noon card draw. (Downstairs bar)


Friday after golf; For those wanting to participate, bring a plate for a shared Kai after golf on Friday. I’ll be making some fry bread. It’s to celebrate Matariki, coming together and sharing Kai, celebrating the day. Ranier

Club House Bookings;   The lounge will be closed on 28 and 29 June for a private function. Golfers please drink downstairs on those 2 days

Vote of Thanks;  On behalf of the Rawhiti & Woburn Masonic Lodges, we would like to thank you for the tremendous support you gave for our fundraising Golf Tournament held last Saturday 22nd June. The Tournament was a resounding success and well supported by golfers and non golfers alike. Due to sponsorships and the dollar for dollar subsidy from the Freemasons Charity we were able to raise the sum of $10,000. Speed Bump;  Very disappointing that some persons think it is smart to drive over the newly sown grass to avoid the speed bump. Any members seen doing this will suffer consequences. Your committee and staff put a lot of time into course and surrounds presentation. Please respect this.

What's On 24 July 2025?

👉Saturday 26th July; Matches please. Competitions still running are Wiffin Cup, Sattrup & Brannigan and Presidents Cup. Card draw 11.30am Duty Zane, house Majken 👉 Saturday 2nd August. SHB 27 Hole Strokeplay Tournament. Entries close Wednesday 30th July, for the draw publication on Thursday 31st July.. No post entries (No entries on the day) We currently have about 70 entries. Reminder; Members are asked to bring a plate for a shared meal after our 27 hole tournament. 👉 Saturday 9th August; Lui Paewai Trophy. Best stableford by a club member on the day. The Lui Paewai is a sort after Trophy. The forecast looks good for the weekend. If we have heavy frosts, please delay your start time so as not to burn the fairways and greens. Evening all, Saturday 19th July; Presidents Cup Round 1 Matchplay . Duty Match Committee Chalky, House Johnny Sunday 20th July, HGC event. A travel group from Hawkes Bay who visit a course once a month. Approximately 50 - 55 golfers, staring at 9am on Tees 1, 5, 10 and 16. Still plenty of room for locals. Please be aware that players are coming from four directions, so don't just jump on a tee, make sure you they are at least half a fairway away before starting in front of them. Captain Zane is looking for anyone who can help prepare 50 burgers for our visitors around 1pm. Evening all, Saturday 12th July; Presidents Cup Qualifying, Top 32 nett scores go through to seeded matchplay competition. Tom Irwin Putter. Please count your on the green putts, the player with the least putts wins the Tom Irwin Putter competition. Duty, Math committee Peter Gregory, House committee ? Sunday 20th July; The HGC Tour group will be playing Dannevirke at 9am. Between 50 and 55 players using a 4 tee start. Still room for our members, but please be aware of the players on the 9th and 18th fairways, as they may be carrying on, so don't assume they are stopping, and jumping in front of them.
