Match Committee meeting please at 10am
April 4th and 5th Coronation Cup at Porongahau. Two rounds Saturday and one Sunday. The team has been picked and will be announced in due course. If you are able to caddie let Zane know. If you just want to provide moral support that would be great too. The team would appreciate that.
Club champs. Please remember to keep up with the club champ matches. It is your responsibility to make contact with the person you are playing. These first round matches must be played by April 11th. Second round starts April 12th. If matches are not up to date the match committee will step in and decide who goes into the next round. This decision will not be made lightly but will be final. So get those matches played please.
Message from the Green Keeper. Pitch marks on greens. Can everyone please remember to repair your own pitch marks and if you see any others repair those as this is becoming an issue .

SHB 27 Hole Strokeplay Tournament. Entries close Wednesday 30th July, for the draw publication on Thursday 31st July.. No post entries (No entries on the day) We currently have about 70 entries. Reminder; Members are asked to bring a plate for a shared meal after our 27 hole tournament. 👉 Saturday 9th August; Lui Paewai Trophy. Best stableford by a club member on the day. The Lui Paewai is a sort after Trophy. The forecast looks good for the weekend. If we have heavy frosts, please delay your start time so as not to burn the fairways and greens. Evening all, Saturday 19th July; Presidents Cup Round 1 Matchplay . Duty Match Committee Chalky, House Johnny Sunday 20th July, HGC event. A travel group from Hawkes Bay who visit a course once a month. Approximately 50 - 55 golfers, staring at 9am on Tees 1, 5, 10 and 16. Still plenty of room for locals. Please be aware that players are coming from four directions, so don't just jump on a tee, make sure you they are at least half a fairway away before starting in front of them. Captain Zane is looking for anyone who can help prepare 50 burgers for our visitors around 1pm.
