Sisters Club; On 1 and 2 June 2024 (Kings Birthday weekend) the Dannevirke Golf Club will be hosting about 60 – 70 visiting golfers in the 52nd playing of the Sisters Club tournament. There will be a meeting of those interested in being involved in the tournament at the Saigon on Barraud Street, Wednesday 12 July at 7 pm, to start planning for the tournament. So if you would like to be involved please come along to the meeting. If you can’t make the meeting but would like to be involved could you please contact me. Regards Stephen
Some wind this week has hopefully been good for our course, and done a bit of drying. Our thanks to our staff for the way they have managed in such trying conditions. Here's hoping the weather turns for the better.

👉Saturday 26th July; Matches please. Competitions still running are Wiffin Cup, Sattrup & Brannigan and Presidents Cup. Card draw 11.30am Duty Zane, house Majken 👉 Saturday 2nd August. SHB 27 Hole Strokeplay Tournament. Entries close Wednesday 30th July, for the draw publication on Thursday 31st July.. No post entries (No entries on the day) We currently have about 70 entries. Reminder; Members are asked to bring a plate for a shared meal after our 27 hole tournament. 👉 Saturday 9th August; Lui Paewai Trophy. Best stableford by a club member on the day. The Lui Paewai is a sort after Trophy. The forecast looks good for the weekend. If we have heavy frosts, please delay your start time so as not to burn the fairways and greens. Evening all, Saturday 19th July; Presidents Cup Round 1 Matchplay . Duty Match Committee Chalky, House Johnny Sunday 20th July, HGC event. A travel group from Hawkes Bay who visit a course once a month. Approximately 50 - 55 golfers, staring at 9am on Tees 1, 5, 10 and 16. Still plenty of room for locals. Please be aware that players are coming from four directions, so don't just jump on a tee, make sure you they are at least half a fairway away before starting in front of them. Captain Zane is looking for anyone who can help prepare 50 burgers for our visitors around 1pm.
