Clubhouse. As we are a bar, we can now open up again. I beleive at this stage the House Committee are selling stubbies and Quarts only, no draught beers (TBC)
There will be rules so please abide by them

Mikes request; Competition cash is becoming a real problem, with the cash machines in town dishing out $50 notes. Please we just don't have change for everyone, so if you can save a $10 note during the week for Saturday, it will make life so much easier for the Match Committee. Thanks

Golf HB Association; As mentioned previously, the Zoom meeting agreed that both Coronation and Greenwood Cups would be played this year subject to gathering size being lifted.
If we are going ahead, the Soutnern Zone match has been penciled in for Saturday / Sunday August 1st and 2nd (at Dannevirke) This will replace our 27hole Tournament, as the Rosebowl is not happening this year, as both Pongaroa and Cape Turnagain have missed their dates. The finals will be held November 14-15, the same weekend as the Greenwood final weekend.

Great to see golf up a going again. Under foot conditions are still excellent, so lets keep the Championships matches flowing, so we finish on time on June 20th. Good luck with your matches.

(Notebook on the bar on competition days) The raffle will be drawn during the prize giving for the Marae Tournament. Regards Stephen. Carts: We have already had two disappointing incidents this year. Our new carts are there to use and be respected. Last Sunday (unknown driver) obviously drove up to another cart on number 14 tee and tried to push it, leaving black tyre marks and holes in the lime track. Just dumb! Appreciate we have visitors and members using our carts, but any such behaviour will be dealt to by the Management Committee. "Use them, don't abuse them" Greenstaff; With Kierane being a fully qualified Green Keeper, the committee and he decided it was a good time to start another Apprentice. The role was advertised before Christmas, and so it is good to welcome Liam Making to our Club. Great to have you on board, and all the best for the next few years, gaining a qualification. Kierane Given the amount of water we now have available, our greens are being well watered. Being softer than normal, please be aware of pitch marks on the Greens. They may not always be yours, but please make a habit of repairing any you see. Thanks That wraps up this week. Have a good weekend, and hopefully the weather is not as bad as predicted. Good Golfing,๐Ÿ‘ Bryan Burt Club Scribe

Great opportunity to try out the game, introduce family and friends to golf, or hone a few new skills over 9 holes. The weather gods have been much kinder to us, than in some areas of the country. With approximately 112 mils of rain this month, the course has gone from a dry, plenty of run summer track to a lush green autumn track in a couple of weeks. Plenty of visitors keeping Pat busy, so come on out and enjoy our great course. See you soon. Good Golfing๐Ÿ‘ Bryan Burt Club Scribe
