Coronation Cup: We still don't have a final answer as to if this is happening this year, until a course and free weekend can be found for the finals. Final decision Tuesday 21st July. We are still planning on hosting the Zone 3 rounds at home on August 1st & 2nd

Seniors; Because it was too wet today we thought we would try for a 10am start tomorrow.

For those intending to travel to Waipawa on Tuesday please meet at the Rural Bus depot at 9am.

Gardening. Thanks to the 7 ladies and 4 men that turned out on Monday. Some ladies stayed around the clubhouse gardens, while the men and 3 ladies cleared the weeds and self sown shrubs behind the 7th tee, assisted by Kearan on chainsaw. . The next actions on the 7th are under discussion, but looks like replanting rhodos' on the left hand side, installing irrigation, and barking the entire area. The existing rhodo trees will be cut back after flowering, so do not despair although they may appear large and unruly at present this will be corrected at the right time. Thankyou to all who came out and assisted on Monday. A lot was achieved before some headed off to attend Bev Beddingfields funeral. ,

Not sure what weather is to be dished up this Saturday, but if you can, please play your Sattrup & Brannigan match, or arrange for no later than next weekend

Good Golfing,

(Notebook on the bar on competition days) The raffle will be drawn during the prize giving for the Marae Tournament. Regards Stephen. Carts: We have already had two disappointing incidents this year. Our new carts are there to use and be respected. Last Sunday (unknown driver) obviously drove up to another cart on number 14 tee and tried to push it, leaving black tyre marks and holes in the lime track. Just dumb! Appreciate we have visitors and members using our carts, but any such behaviour will be dealt to by the Management Committee. "Use them, don't abuse them" Greenstaff; With Kierane being a fully qualified Green Keeper, the committee and he decided it was a good time to start another Apprentice. The role was advertised before Christmas, and so it is good to welcome Liam Making to our Club. Great to have you on board, and all the best for the next few years, gaining a qualification. Kierane Given the amount of water we now have available, our greens are being well watered. Being softer than normal, please be aware of pitch marks on the Greens. They may not always be yours, but please make a habit of repairing any you see. Thanks That wraps up this week. Have a good weekend, and hopefully the weather is not as bad as predicted. Good Golfing,๐Ÿ‘ Bryan Burt Club Scribe

Off to the finals Twilight Golf; Don't forget Twilight Golf is played every Thursday, 4.30 to 5.30 pm tee off during daylight savings months. Great opportunity to try out the game, introduce family and friends to golf, or hone a few new skills over 9 holes. The weather gods have been much kinder to us, than in some areas of the country. With approximately 112 mils of rain this month, the course has gone from a dry, plenty of run summer track to a lush green autumn track in a couple of weeks. Plenty of visitors keeping Pat busy, so come on out and enjoy our great course. See you soon. Good Golfing๐Ÿ‘ Bryan Burt Club Scribe
