Whats on 11 July 2024?

Evening all,
Saturday 13th July; Card draw 11.30am Please continue with Wiffin Cup and Sattrup & Brannigan Matches. Match Committee duty, Zane & Bryan House Bazil
Presidents Cup; draw will be completed and in the shop Saturday morning
Sisters Club; Meeting with a beer, Saturday after prize giving. A revue of the 2024 event, and the start of planning for 2025 in Blenheim
Match Committee Meeting; Sunday 4pm at the Clubhouse.
House Committee; Assistance required Sunday 4pm to empty the tables and Piano from the dining area, so the carpets can be cleaned Monday
House Committee Meeting; A member of the Committee is only on duty on a Saturday so on other days could someone take responsibility and ensure the lounge area and bar are left tidy and lights and heaters are turned off. If you get a chance please restock the bar, particularly the main items.
The duty person has sole discretion about the closing time. We did discuss that after a certain time quart bottles will no longer be served and only stubbies will be available.
The bar will only open at the end of play.
Smokers please keep to the back of the club house, not the entrance and definitely not in the building. Please keep the area tidy, it’s not a good look when we have visiting players and cigarette butts litter the grounds.
There is food in the kitchen fridge, we have no idea who it belongs to, if it’s still there on Sunday it will be binned.
I appreciate the above comments may be taken as negative, please remember we’re all volunteers, we all want the Club to succeed and we all want to contribute. Please reciprocate by showing a little consideration for all members of the Club and the Club itself.
Saturday 27th July, The Aotea Sports Club are having their prize giving on Saturday 27 July so the upstairs lounge will be closed on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 July.
The frosts and great winter days this week will have helped the course dry out. The newly germinated grass is relatively obvious to most, that being the light green areas. Please where possible, take bikes, carts and trundlers around these areas, to assist with keeping this grass alive over winter. Again if you see someone take their trundler between the green and a bunker, or over tee's, ask "didn't you get the email" which is a friendly reminder that we shouldn't do this. Likewise any bare patches, they only get worse if we keep walking over them, please walk around them.
The forecast is not too bad for the week end, so if time allows, come on out and get a game in.
Good Golfing👍
