Saturday 16th December;  11.30am card draw

Tuesday 19th December; A reminder that our Xmas Cheer is on next Tuesday December 19th at 10am with a $10 entry fee. At 9.30am we will hold our Annual General Meeting and Prizegiving.

It is imperative we get the AGM underway as close to 9.30am as possible, so we can get the golf teeing off at 10am . Cheers Gus

Thursday 21st December;  Twilight Christmas Party; Tee off from 3.30 until 5.30pm (no later please, as it delays prize giving etc) On the night we have , fry bread, bbq, prizes for a range of things including best dressed (Xmas theme). Worst golf and there is now $100 in the kitty for 2’s, which must go!. Great range of prizes plus spot prizes.       Food, there is an order form downstairs when you register to order and pay for your food then. That means that we can cook it all at once and have it ready within a certain time frame. This is available Thursday and Saturday.

We are now in the final run up to Christmas and the New Year. Last weekend we held a very successful Christmas Cheer with close to 140 in the field. Again our appreciation to Shires Fruit & Vege Mart for their sponsorship. Thanks to Marcus ransom & Glen McClelland for again manning the haggle hole on number 14. Member generosity plus $150 from Summer Websters raffle means a $1000 donation will be going to our local Rescue helicopter .  The hams consumed at the haggle hole were sponsored by Dannevirke Vet Services, Glen McClelland & myself. A great day & night had by all.

We will let you all know next Thursday what is planned for the holiday period. Our course will be open, but mowing will be limited to days available, so just play the course as it is on the day. Our staff deserve a break.

Good Golfing👍

Great opportunity to try out the game, introduce family and friends to golf, or hone a few new skills over 9 holes. The weather gods have been much kinder to us, than in some areas of the country. With approximately 112 mils of rain this month, the course has gone from a dry, plenty of run summer track to a lush green autumn track in a couple of weeks. Plenty of visitors keeping Pat busy, so come on out and enjoy our great course. See you soon. Good Golfing👍 Bryan Burt Club Scribe
