Coring; The weather played ball Monday & Tuesday, so all the greens were cored The greens on the first nine have been sanded along with the 18th. Then the weather changed, so it has been too wet to sand 10 to 17. The cores on the surrounds have also good wet, making it difficult to clear them. If its fine Friday, and the cores dry, the staff and any members available may be able to blow, or shovel these away. If not we will have to contend with them over the week end. That being the case, please tap your shoes as you would after leaving a bunker, before walking onto the greens so that we aren't carrying cores onto the greens. Our staff will do the best they can if the weather gods allow. Thanks guys. Any member wish to assist, please talk to Kierane.
Kierane managed to mow 10,11 and 12th greens today and was on the 17th when a hydraulic hose blew, He is frantically working to get that fixed. The plan being to mow greens 1-9 Saturday with the old greens mower, and 10 to 18 with the new mower. be aware of
Bring on the sunshine. Best wishes to our Greenwood team, and if you are playing at home, please go with the flow. Our staff work their butts off to present our course, but every so often the weather doesn't play ball.
Good golfing
