Welcome

Saturday 1st October;  11.30am card draw. Continuation of President Cup and Sattrup & Brannigan matches

Ace, Congratulation to Raymond Martin for his hole in one on the ninth on Sunday 18th. His wife Jude summed it up the best. Not bad for 45 years practice.

Ladies Ashcott last Monday; The ladies Ashcott team won against Waipukarau on Monday 5/1, a great result for Dannevirke Thanks Val

Message from the CDISC President;  On behalf of the CDISC Club Committee I would like to express my sincere thanks to Tony, Mike and the team at the Dannevirke Golf Club for their amazing assistance in hosting the New Zealand Indian Sports Association Shires Golf Open.

The course was immaculate considering the amount of rainfall during week, we certainly appreciate the hard work and effort the Club put into preparing and cutting under very difficult circumstances.

The assistance in organising the draw and the branded Shires balls and markers was also greatly appreciated (thanks Mike)

Both this tournament and the previous one held in 2015 have been our largest golf events since its inception something we are incredibly proud of.

It was fitting that we were able to host this event in ‘Dannevirke to coincide with the celebration of Shires 100th years of service, we are so appreciative for their support that they have given us and continue to provide our club.

We look forward to bringing the Golf Open back to Dannevirke in the future.

Kind Regards

Kiran Pabhu

President-CDISC

Seniors;

Just a reminder that we are visiting Carterton vets next Tuesday 4 October. Tee off will be at 9.30am which means we will have to be ready to depart Dannevirke at 7.30am

Green fees will be $10 and the competition $5.00

As Carterton wants to know how many of us will be visiting; could you please email back by 8pm Friday night if you are interested in going. At this point I have 16 Dannevirke names.

Latest time for a cancellation in the event of adverse weather conditions prevailing; will be 9pm Monday night.

Those looking to car pool will meet at the Allardice Street car park in Dannevirke before 7.30am. Note: we are subsidizing each car/driver $50.00 plus a minimum of $10 from each passenger. Please let me know Monday night if you already have a pre-arranged carload.

The $50 will be paid by direct credit to your bank account, so please give your bank account details to Val. Cheers for now, Regards Gavin.

Here's hoping the weather forecasts are all up the pole and we have two great days over the weekend to play golf.

Good Golfing

" Kia ora e te whānau, our golf tournament last weekend was awesome, with 105 golfers turning up to support our school and try their luck at winning $20 000! Unfortunately, no one was able to ‘sink a hole in one’ and win the money. A big thank you to Mr Amrit Pasad and all the staff and students who helped to make this event a success. We would also like to thank the Dannevirke Golf Course, our generous sponsors and our community for entering the tournament and participating in the fundraising activities held on the day. All profits of this event will go towards our students’ sports travel." Special General Meeting; Thank you to the 55 members who turned out Monday night for the purpose of " Setting the annual member subscription fees for the 2026 / 2027 year. The Management Committee acknowledges their error in not advertising this as an Agenda item at the AGM in December. Matter sorted, repeat of error to be avoided, move on. We are in the thick of Match Play golf with GHB Pennants and now Club Champs, and in April, the Coronation Cup. I hope all participants enjoy the experience. Good Golfing👍 Bryan Burt Club Scribe
