Congratulations to you all for making the finals. Best of luck to you all. For all finalists, lunch will be provided by the club after 18 holes👍.

Men's Club Day; 11am Card draw. Starting tees as directed by the duty match committee. Duty Norm & Shane Evans. Please note Finals groups have right of way all day, so please let them through if necessary, and quickly. To members following championship matches, please be aware of your presence on the course, and move out of the way of playing groups behind you

Clubhouse;  On Saturday 27 May there is a private function being held in the upstairs lounge. My apologies for the inconvenience particularly to those involved in the championship finals, but could you please use the downstairs bar. Thanks Stephen.

Greens Staff request;  As we are all aware, our course is as wet as it has been for many years. With winter only starting, we could have these conditions for some time yet. Kierane, AG, and Bung are doing their utmost to keep the course to a high standard. Please assist as playing members in the following ways. Par 3's Please use a tee when possible. If you don't use a tee, please ensure you return all divots. If you shot has only skimmed the grass, please use the sand provided to level the affected area. Kierane notes that some tees are well repaired and others are awful. (Note, the blue tees are for Sunday golf only) Carts / Trundlers, again many of you know the wet areas on the course. Please refrain from driving or taking your carts through these areas. Number 17 tee to green has been roped off so all carts etc go along the right had side of the fairway. If you have to play a shot from there, take your clubs only, not your cart and trundler. Greens, Please keep your carts and trundlers in the rough, and not on the mowed surrounds. Again this will stop these areas wearing down to mud, leaving you a better playing surface. Policing; members are asked to keep an eye on other members and visitors actions, and speak to them if you see any of the above actions being taken.

Management Committee; Our May meeting was held last night. The majority of the meeting was around updates on several ongoing thoughts and projects. With the sale of the house now finalized water supply and storage is a key project. The Greens committee met last week with persons of interest to progress this project. Captain Mike has now got all the signage in place for the card kiosk, and eftpos machine. If members see visitors looking slightly lost, direct them to the clubhouse foyer, where I am sure, all their queries will be answered. Health & Safety; Can members working on the course, please notify Kierane before heading to their place of work. As the "person in charge" Kierane needs to know who is where doing what, so he can notify staff to be aware.

A small gripe from me. Why have I got three emails tonight asking when the draw will be coming out. What's On is done most Thursdays from 8pm. Its not a daily newspaper with a delivery deadline.

Hopefully another fine day for Championship Finals 2023. Best of luck, and we will see you all in the downstairs bar following play. Championship trophies will be presented following play.

Good Golfing,

Bryan Burt

Off to the finals Twilight Golf; Don't forget Twilight Golf is played every Thursday, 4.30 to 5.30 pm tee off during daylight savings months. Great opportunity to try out the game, introduce family and friends to golf, or hone a few new skills over 9 holes. The weather gods have been much kinder to us, than in some areas of the country. With approximately 112 mils of rain this month, the course has gone from a dry, plenty of run summer track to a lush green autumn track in a couple of weeks. Plenty of visitors keeping Pat busy, so come on out and enjoy our great course. See you soon. Good Golfing👍 Bryan Burt Club Scribe
