Saturday November 27th ; Inter Club with Fielding at Fielding. For those wishing to travel by bus, this will be leaving the Services & Citizens Club at 10am. Tee Off at Fielding is 12 noon. Card draw at 11.30am for those playing at home

Saturday 11th December;  Club Christmas Cheer 12 noon shot gun start. The is an entry sheet in the foyer. Please assist our Captain by entering early so a draw can be done during the week. Late entries get the worst tees!

Greenwood Cup; A quick glance at the results last night, showed we had two match wins and two losses last week end. Wins against Central and Karamu. Thanks must go to our team who give up two week ends to compete in this competition, playing three round in the first week end and four last week end. A major commitment, with many matches going down to the wire, players can go close to playing 72 holes over two days. Thanks also to our sponsors and caddies, your support for this team playing the highest level of golf in the Golf H B competition is a credit to each and everyone of you.

Management Committee, Meeting 24th November,

Funding. We have been successful with another wage funding application taking us through to early December ($8800) An application has been submitted for the next pay period

Carts; An unfortunate outcome of the lock down, was the carts were left charging for the entire period.  Tests are being carried out on one cart in Palmerston North, to see if the 2 year old Lithium batteries have been permanently damaged. A motion was moved and passed to purchase two new carts, which will be on course before Christmas. To assist in repairs etc a new fee of $40 will apply to visitors and $30 for Club Members per cart

Card Machine; The supplier is awaiting a printer, and this also may be on course prior to the Christmas break. This will allow visitors to pay their green fees via eftpos, plus after each card is entered, your handicap will automatically update.

Covid 19; It is a belief from Golf NZ that the Government will announce how sports club can and should operate hopefully tomorrow. Your Management Committee will look at this information and report at our Annual General Meeting. Should any matters require a resolution at club level, this will happen at the AGM. It is uncharted territory, so please stay calm, polite, and respectful of members personal beliefs

The ladies had a great day for their Christmas Cheer today with 60 something in the field. A report on this event is possibly forthcoming.

Good luck to our members heading to Fielding on Saturday
