Saturday 29th November; Feilding interclub at Feilding. 11.30 am tee off. Tony Peeti & Eru Hauiti are both taking vans, so there may be rides available. Contact these gentlemen directly, please. Tony's van leaves the golf club at 9.50 am.

Sunday 30th November; Pongaroa are hosting their Prize Giving and Christmas Cheer Tournament. I believe it is a 12 noon start for anyone interested in attending
Saturday 13th December: Shires Fruit & Vege Market sponsored Christmas Cheer. 12 noon shotgun start, entry sheet in the foyer at the Clubhouse. All carts are booked. Once again, our haggle hole (no. 14) will be manned by the formidable team of Glen McClelland & Marcus Ransom. This team of two has given up their time for the past 7 or 8 years to man the haggle hole and donate their proceeds to worthy causes around our community or club. Thanks also to the ham sponsors for the haggle hole. Originally, Vet Services and PGG Wrightson. Vet Services have continued, and I took over the PGG Wrightson sponsorship some years ago.
Maybe a bit damp tomorrow, but the forecast for the weekend is good. We are bearing down on 100 years of inter-club fixtures with Feilding (next couple of years I believe). Maybe we can turn the clock back 100 years and go to Feilding by train or horseback and stay for a week!, Watch this space.

Saturday 21st March; Club Championships Round 1 Matchplay. Duty, Match Committee, House ?. If you have a Match, please convey that to the starters. Round 2 is not until May 2nd, so please keep communication with your opponent open so the matches can all be completed. Thank you to all who put names forward for the Championships. We have four draws, Senior, Intermediate A & B, and Junior A (all attached) compiled from names entered. Thanks, Pat Harold, for putting the draws together. Any questions or queries, please contact captains Zane or Peter. Sunday 22nd March; Pongaroa 27 Hole Strokeplay Tournament, Round two of the Ruahine Rosebowl. 8 am, tea & Coffee, 8.30 am tee off, $35 includes competition and food. Can we get a good muster, please, especially those looking for Coronation Cup selection. We require more than three, which we had at Norsewood, please. High School Ambrose: A thank-you note from the High School says it all. " Kia ora e te whānau, our golf tournament last weekend was awesome, with 105 golfers turning up to support our school and try their luck at winning $20 000! Unfortunately, no one was able to ‘sink a hole in one’ and win the money. A big thank you to Mr Amrit Pasad and all the staff and students who helped to make this event a success. We would also like to thank the Dannevirke Golf Course, our generous sponsors and our community for entering the tournament and participating in the fundraising activities held on the day. All profits of this event will go towards our students’ sports travel." Special General Meeting; Thank you to the 55 members who turned out Monday night for the purpose of " Setting the annual member subscription fees for the 2026 / 2027 year. " The conclusion being the annual subscriptions for 2026 / 2027 is $665 for full playing members. The Management Committee acknowledges their error in not advertising this as an Agenda item at the AGM in December. Matter sorted, repeat of error to be avoided, move on. Sat, March 14th, Dannevirke High School Ambrose Tournament, 11 am Tee off. I'm sure there will be space in the field for members not involved in the Ambrose, but I can't guarantee that, sorry. Sun, March 15th; Golf HB Pennants Round 3. Championship 1 Dvke v Hastings @ Dannevirke, Champ 3 Dvke v Maraenui at Maraenui, Handicap 2 Dvke v Maraenui at HB Golf Club, Handicap 3 Dvke v Napier at Hastings. Championship 1 grade play at home, tee off 8.30 am. Club members can commence after Pennant tee off, but please be mindful that fours coming through the turn have right of way. Round 1 of the 2026 Rosebowl. 8am tea/ coffee, with a start time of 8.30 am Coronation Cup; For all players that have put their names forward for Selection, there is a meeting this Saturday, Club day, 10.45 am in the dining room. Very quickly it will be! If any of these players are going to the Norsewood Rosebowl, well done, we will catch up with you during the week or the following weekend; otherwise, we will see the rest on Saturday.
