Sunday August 1st; Inter Club v Pahiatua Mixed field 11am Tee Off following welcoming morning tea.
Saturday August 7th; SHB 27 Hole Strokeplay Tournament (Rosebowl Tournament). Our very own men's Tournament, so a good muster of Dannevirke members would be appreciated. A ladies field is also encouraged.
On the course; Frosts, please observe any signage the staff put our regarding frosts, especially severe ones like last weekend.
Our thanks to the Greens committee members for their work replacing the wire fence beside the 12th tee. Special thanks to Dereck Thorburn for his donation of the timber railings.
The fence line to the gate half way along number 12 has been strengthened with Steel Y Posts, and the old broken concrete posts have been removed. With stock movement on State Highways now a thing of the past, the fence doesn't really need to be stock proof any longer, but the work done has given it a face lift. It's possible in our PC mad world, that sometime in the future, we will be required to add a very high fence along this stretch, to prevent errant balls going onto the road.
We are definitely in the grips of winter at the moment, but if the day allows, come on out and blow the cobwebs out of the system. A brisk walk with a set of clubs is a great way to fill in a long dreary winters day.
