M B Lilo & S Paewai play C Mason & Z Gregory. The winners then play N Evans & A Prasad in the other semi final
August Events to lock into your calendar;
Sunday August 1st; Inter Club v Pahiatua Mixed field 11am Tee Off following welcoming morning tea.
Saturday August 7th; SHB 27 Hole Strokeplay Tournament (Rosebowl Tournament). Our very own men's Tournament, so a good muster of Dannevirke members would be appreciated. A ladies field is also encouraged.
A Thought; The Friday boys, arranged and built the front entrance, and have now completed the railing fence on the number 12 tee. Their challenge is now to the Saturday players to come up with and complete a project on the course. Collective minds and many hand make light work of any project. Thoughts and clubhouse discussion are encouraged. If any member has a possible project they wish to put forward, by all means flick me an email with your proposal, I can include it in a future What's On for members to contemplate.
Tee Off Time, Captain Mike has been asked if the Match Committee would consider moving tee time back to 11.30am on Saturdays. This Saturday when you enter the Competition, you will be asked, Do you personally prefer 11am or 11.30 tee off. Please participate with an answer, " it doesn't worry me" is not an option! I still receive the odd email, asking questions regarding draws, or telling me, I can't play this week, can let my opponent know. The forecast doesn't look that great for the week end , but then again what's new! The course is rarely closed, In most cases it closes itself as members choose not to play if the weather is foul. It is winter!
