Awaiting an eftpos machine, to go in the card box for visitors to pay green and camping fees.

Enquiries have been made to Dotgolf regarding a card machine at the Club. VP Vaughan is sifting through the proposal and will report back.

Coronation Cup Cape Turnagain 15-16th May, team to be named shortly, subject to scoring at their tournament Saturday.

Friday boys have a working bee tomorrow to tidy up the edges etc at the front gate, and sow down the bare earth areas.

Roger Ransom and crew are putting a post and three rail fence between the tee and road on number 12, up to the hedge. The balance of the fence up to the gate way will be strengthened and tightened.

Both men's and ladies Championships are well underway with finals scheduled for Saturday 22nd May (Please keep matches up to date).

Down Stairs bar. Richie is getting on with the painting. Carpet is ordered and will go down when painting finished.

House Sale, Looks like we may get vacant possession shortly, so the we can have a tidy up and get the property on the market. Some extra reporting work is required around the old wool shed, and surrounds, to make sure their is no soil contamination that could prevent land use in and around that area. ie was there ever a sheep dip there.

Miranda reports subscription payments are flowing in, although a fair proportion of the club now pays weekly or monthly. In fact all new members are encouraged to take this option, giving the Club a better cash flow. Majority of income is on budget, and on the expenses side, their has been an increase in insurance costs

All in all, President Tony and the committee are comfortable with the state of the club, both activity wise and financially. Always looking at opportunities to have our course and facilities used more often

Take care if you are traveling this long week end. Enjoy your golf wherever you play. I believe we have a good crew heading to the Cape Saturday

Good Golfing

RESULTS: 1st Norsewood 2nd Cape Turnagain 3rd Pongaroa 4th Dannevirke 5th Takapau A Brief history: the Rosebowl has been taking place for 30+ years and is a meaningful tournament for local interculb golf. We appreciate there is a lot of golf at this time of the season, however, it is a shame when such days are not well supported by our members. Any thoughts or suggestions on how this event can be better attended, please reach out to Zane, Peter, or any match committee member. We do not want to see these tournaments fall off the annual calendar. Coronation Cup A team will be selected by Thursday, 2nd April. First round is in Takapau on Saturday, 11th April Twilight The end of Twilight season was postponed this week due to the weather and will be held next Thursday (weather permitting). Weather looking good for another great weekend of golf! Good luck to our Pennants teams. Cheers, Zane CC.

Unfortunately, no one was able to ‘sink a hole in one’ and win the money. A big thank you to Mr Amrit Pasad and all the staff and students who helped to make this event a success. We would also like to thank the Dannevirke Golf Course, our generous sponsors and our community for entering the tournament and participating in the fundraising activities held on the day. All profits of this event will go towards our students’ sports travel." Special General Meeting; Thank you to the 55 members who turned out Monday night for the purpose of " Setting the annual member subscription fees for the 2026 / 2027 year. The Management Committee acknowledges their error in not advertising this as an Agenda item at the AGM in December. Matter sorted, repeat of error to be avoided, move on.
