Happy new year

Happy New year.

Here's hoping everyone has either had, or are currently having a break.  The rains in December, (about 180mm) have kept our Course green, with some summer run, so what more could you wish for. Evening golf is just stunning at present, with the day cooler and the lowering sun. A brilliant time to take a couple of clubs and play tee to green. Good for the mind and body.

Saturday January 15. Summer Cup Qualifying. Top 32 nett cards qualify, for the match play rounds Friday golfers, if you wish to qualify, you need to play a medal round Friday, and put your card in by the till for Mike to include. Please enter Summer Cup Qual in the Event section so Mike knows you wish to enter. Same for Sunday golfers, but remember first card for the week end counts.

Ladies; Ashcott the ladies team got to the final playing Puketiriri/Te Pohue. Waiting to confirm the date which will be played at Hawkes Bay Golf Club the last week in January.. Good luck for the final

Club Programme, GHB have sent out a couple of draft programmes to date, but sadly there are still changes coming through. With the draft information we had, we were able to build our programme. Through no fault of our own, this may have to be changed, so printing may be delayed. We have a few members who are critical of our efforts to provide a programme, that sometimes gets out of kilter because of weather events etc. It is never intended to print an inaccurate programme, so please any changes will be notified via What's On.

Good to see several new members getting involved in Saturday club day events. Welcome, and we hope you enjoy the benefits of your membership. If coaching is required, we will endeavour to put something in place. If you are interested in a coaching session please let Captain Mike know, or any member of the match committee.

Good Golfing
