Saturday 15th Sunday 16th May; Coronation Cup hosted by Cape Turnagain Golf Club 12 noon Saturday 2 round Sunday


Saturday May 15th; Card Draw 11am for those not involved in Coronation Cup


Saturday May 22nd Club Championship Finals. Finalists and tee times advised in next weeks What's On


Saturday 29th May; Sattrup & Brannigan 4bbb Clubhouse draw. Note this is not round one of the competition. After golf on the 29th all the pairings are put into a container, and drawn to create the first round draw.


Sunday 30th May; Onga Onga 27 hole classic tbc. This tournament is normally held Queens birthday Sunday, so if it is next week, it gives some of our Sister Club members a chance to play


June 5th, 6th and 7th . Sisters Club Tournament at Rarangi Golf Club in Blenheim.


Seniors;  A reminder that next Tuesday May 18th we visit Takapau. The clubhouse will be open from about 9.30am for a cuppa and tee off time is 10.30. The weather forecast for that day is fine with westerlies and a temperature of 16.

Our best wishes go to our Coronation Cup team for this weekend. Our team of 12, will do battle with Pongaroa, Cape Turnagain and Norsewood. The draw and format used means after round one on Saturday, each club has only played 4 matches against the other three, so the eventual winner is sometimes not know until the last few Matches on Sunday afternoon.

Friday 25th April; Anzac Day. Waitahora Cup, (best stabeford on the day). Men versus Ladies aggregate stableford. 12 noon Card draw. Saturday 26th April; Wiffin Cup Qualifying. Top 32 nett scores go through to the Matchplay rounds. House Duty Rhea Clubhouse; The clubhouse has been booked this weekend for a wedding. On Friday and Saturday can members please use the downstairs bar. Please take the time this weekend to get any Championship matches up to date. Saturday May 3rd is set down for Semi Finals, with Finals day set for Saturday May 17th. Any issues, please contact our Captains Zane or Peter Gregory. Forecast looks good for those heading to Anzac Services tomorrow morning. Our 12 noon card draw is only for tomorrow as a show of respect. A minutes silence will be observed prior to play commencing. Friday 18th April; Good Friday. A Friday competition will be held. Tee off from 10.30am, card draw at 12 noon for those interested in joining. Saturday 19th April; Card draw 11.30am. Anyone from the Match Committee present, please assist. House Duty is Basil Friday 25th April; Waitahora Cup, plus men v women aggregate stableford. 12 noon tee off/ card draw Saturday 26th April; Wiffin Cup Qualifying. Coronation Cup Finals, The teams and venue for the finals of the 2025 Coronation Cup are Te Pohue, Karamu, Pongaroa and Dannevirke, to be held at Hawkes Bay Golf Club on May 25th & 26th. A long weekend to look forward too, but not sure about the weather. If you feel like braving the conditions, come on out and have a round. If you are heading away over the weekend, travel safely. Evening all, Saturday 12th April; Cape Turnagain 27 Hole Strokeplay Tournament (Round 3 Ruahine Rosebowl). &.30am cup of tea, 8.30am Tee off Saturday 12th April; Round 2 Club Championship Matchplay. We do have a glitch in the programme, so for the 32 person draws, we are one round short. Please play these games as soon as you possibly can, as we want to continue and have the final Saturday 17t May. Duty Zane & Peter Gregory, House Stephen Sisters Club; Quick meeting to be held downstairs Saturday after prize giving please. Sunday 13th April; Round 4 Golf H B Pennants Competition. Champ 1 are playing at Wairoa, Champ 3 at swairoa. Handicap 2 at Hawkes By Golf Club, and Handicap 4 are at home. Coronation Cup; Congratulations to the Dannevirke team for winning the Zone competition at Porangahau last weekend. This now takes our team with the other Zone winners to finals week end on May 24th and 25th. Venue and the other 3 competing teams to be notified. Again please keep Championship matches moving, Easter next weekend, may provide opportunity to catch up if necessary.
