Championship 1 at HB Golf Club. No 10 tee 11am Dannevirke v Onga Onga


Handicap 2 at Takapau. Dardanelles 11.18am Dannevirke v Waipukurau


Handicap 4 at Maraenui. No 10 tee 11am Dannevirke v Onga Onga


Saturday 29th May; Sattrup & Brannigan 4bbb Club house draw.  For our newer members, team up with another player, and enter this competition. Played along the lines of the beers on a Saturday, It is the best ball between you and you partner, versus the other pair. Winners of each match go forward to the next round until we have a final two pairs and ultimately a winner from the finals. Check in with a Match Committee member if you require a partner.


Security and Club house requests; Please if you are locking up the bar, check the doors of the glass front chiller to ensure they are aligned and closed, thus keeping the contents at the desired temperature.

                                               

Office window; This is frequently being left unlocked when the club house is closed up. Again, please ensure it is closed, and the mini pad bolt is in place.

👉Saturday 26th July; Matches please. Competitions still running are Wiffin Cup, Sattrup & Brannigan and Presidents Cup. Card draw 11.30am Duty Zane, house Majken 👉 Saturday 2nd August. SHB 27 Hole Strokeplay Tournament. Entries close Wednesday 30th July, for the draw publication on Thursday 31st July.. No post entries (No entries on the day) We currently have about 70 entries. Reminder; Members are asked to bring a plate for a shared meal after our 27 hole tournament. 👉 Saturday 9th August; Lui Paewai Trophy. Best stableford by a club member on the day. The Lui Paewai is a sort after Trophy. The forecast looks good for the weekend. If we have heavy frosts, please delay your start time so as not to burn the fairways and greens. Evening all, Saturday 19th July; Presidents Cup Round 1 Matchplay . Duty Match Committee Chalky, House Johnny Sunday 20th July, HGC event. A travel group from Hawkes Bay who visit a course once a month. Approximately 50 - 55 golfers, staring at 9am on Tees 1, 5, 10 and 16. Still plenty of room for locals. Please be aware that players are coming from four directions, so don't just jump on a tee, make sure you they are at least half a fairway away before starting in front of them. Captain Zane is looking for anyone who can help prepare 50 burgers for our visitors around 1pm. Evening all, Saturday 12th July; Presidents Cup Qualifying, Top 32 nett scores go through to seeded matchplay competition. Tom Irwin Putter. Please count your on the green putts, the player with the least putts wins the Tom Irwin Putter competition. Duty, Math committee Peter Gregory, House committee ? Sunday 20th July; The HGC Tour group will be playing Dannevirke at 9am. Between 50 and 55 players using a 4 tee start. Still room for our members, but please be aware of the players on the 9th and 18th fairways, as they may be carrying on, so don't assume they are stopping, and jumping in front of them.
